(1) Introduction
Please read these terms of sale carefully.
You will be asked to expressly agree to these terms of sale before you place an order for products from our website.

(2) Interpretation
In these terms of sale, "we" means Taylor'd Lighting and Interiors (and "us" and "our" will be construed accordingly); and "you" means our customer or potential customer for products (and "your" will be construed accordingly).

(3) Order process
The advertising of products on our website constitutes an "invitation to treat"; and your order for products constitutes a contractual offer. No contract will come into force between you and us unless and until we accept your order in accordance with the procedure detailed below.

You can order online www.tlai.co.uk or by calling us on 0208 744 2351 or by visiting our showroom at 141 - 143 St Margarets Road, St Margarets, Twickenham, Middlesex, TW1 1RG. Please be aware that if offers are advertised on our website you may only be entitled to this offer by ordering online.

In order to enter into a contract to purchase products online from us, you will need to take the following steps:- (i) you must add the products you wish to purchase to your shopping basket, and then proceed to the checkout; (ii) you must select your preferred method of delivery and confirm your order and your consent to these terms of sale; (iii) you will be transferred to SagePays website, and SagePay will handle your payment; (iv) we will then send you an initial acknowledgement; Please note that this does not mean that your order has been accepted. Your order constitutes an offer to us to buy a Product. All orders are subject to acceptance by us, and we will confirm such acceptance to you by sending an email that confirms that the Product has been dispatched (v) once we have checked whether we are able to meet your order, we will either send you the Dispatch confirmation (at which point your order will become a binding contract) or we will confirm by email that we are unable to meet your order.

The Contract will relate only to those Products whose Dispatch we have confirmed in the Dispatch Confirmation. We will not be obliged to supply any other Products which may have been part of your order until the dispatch of such Products has been confirmed to a separate Dispatch Confirmation

We will not file a copy of these terms of sale specifically in relation to your order. We may update the version of these terms of sale on the website from time to time, and we do not guarantee that the version you have agreed to will remain accessible. We therefore recommend that you download, print and retain a copy of these terms of sale for your records.

The only language in which we provide these terms of sale is English.

1. Product Descriptions and Product Information
1.1 We do our best to display everything exactly as you receive it. However images shown on this website may vary in colour or finish from what is received, slight colour variations may occur as computer screens do vary
1.2 All sizes of Products specified on the website are approximate only. Actual sizes could be up to 2cms smaller or larger than specified on the website and we ask you to take account of this when carrying out your measurements and/or considering whether to purchase a particular product

(5) Price and payment
Prices for products are quoted on our website. The website contains a large number of products and it is always possible that some of the prices on the website may be incorrect. We will verify prices as part of our sale procedures so that a product's correct price will be stated [when you pay for the product].

We make every effort to ensure that the pricing displayed on our website is correct. However, if an error in the pricing of a product is found we reserve the right to either cancel your order or contact you to arrange payment of any extra sum due or refund any over-payment made by you (as applicable). The processing of an order can be cancelled or corrected by us at any time up to the shipment of that order and any related items.

We are under no obligation to provide the product to you at the incorrect (lower) price, even after we have sent you a Dispatch Confirmation, if the pricing error is obvious and unmistakeable and could have reasonably be recognised by you as a mis-pricing.

Prices are liable to change at any time, but changes will not affect orders in respect of which we have already sent you a Dispatch confirmation

We reserve the right to alter all product pricing without notice

Title in any products ordered from us does not pass to you, the purchaser, until we have received and processed a valid payment and your order has been shipped

In addition to the price of the products, you [may] have to pay a standard delivery charge, which will be as stated [when you pay for the product].

Payment must be made [upon the submission of your order]. We may withhold the products and/or cancel the contract between us if the price is not received from you in full in cleared funds.

The prices on our website may differ from the prices in our showroom.

The prices on the website include all value added taxes (where applicable).

Payment for all products must be made either online by a credit card or debit card acceptable to us or SagePay OR over the telephone by a credit card or debit card acceptable to us or SagePay. Prices for products are liable to change at any time, but changes will not affect contracts which have come into force.

If you dispute any payment made to us you must contact us immediately in writing by post to Taylor'd Lighting & Interiors, 141 - 143 St Margarets Road, Twickenham, Middlesex, TW1 1RG or by email to sales@tlai.co.uk and provide full details of your claim. If you submit an unjustified credit card, debit card or other charge-back then you will be liable to pay us, within NETQUOTEVAR:7 days following the date of the charge-back: (i) an amount equal to the amount of the charge-back; (ii) all third party expenses incurred by us in relation to the charge-back (include charges made by our or your bank or payment processor or card issuer); (iii) an administration fee (including VAT)]; and (iv) all our reasonable costs, losses and expenses incurred in recovering the amounts referred to in this paragraph (including without limitation legal fees and debt collection fees).

Without prejudice to our other rights, if you submit an unjustified credit card, debit card or other charge-back, then we may terminate any contracts between you and us under these terms of sale by giving you written notice of termination.

For the avoidance of doubt, if you fail to recognise or fail to remember the source of an entry on your card statement or other financial statement, and make a charge-back as a result, this will constitute an unjustified charge-back.

(6) Your warranties
You warrant to us that:
(a) you are legally capable of entering into binding contracts, and you have full authority, power and capacity to agree to these terms of sale;
b) the information provided in your order is accurate and complete;
(c) you will be able to accept delivery of the products;
[(d) you are resident in England or Wales; and
[(e) you are at least 18 years of age


(7) Risk and ownership
The products will be at your risk of loss or damage from the time of delivery or collection. Ownership of the products will only pass to you upon the later of:

(a) delivery of the products; and
(b) receipt by us of full payment of all sums due in respect of the products (including delivery charges).
We will be entitled to recover payment for the products even where ownership has not passed to you.

(8) Statutory rights
Nothing in these terms of sale affects your statutory rights (including your right to receive a refund in respect of any defective product we sell to you).

You will not have any right to cancel a Contract for the supply of any Products which are made to your order, for example a Light Fitting which has had a chain lengthened for your specific requirements.

(9) Refunds
We hope you will be happy with your purchase. However, if for any reason you are not, please follow the instructions below:

Remember that we have many of our products on display in our showroom, so if you are unsure about suitability, please visit before purchasing or you can call us on 0208 744 2351 for further information.

Ensure you check all item dimensions before ordering.

Please open and check your order within a reasonable time (usually 7 days) from receipt of goods and inform us of any transit damage problems immediately. All items and parts of items must be checked for any damage prior to assembly.

When you return a Product to us because you have cancelled the Contract within the statutory seven day cooling-off period (see the Returns Policy), once the Product is back with us and has been checked, we will process the refund due to you as soon as possible and, in any case, within 30 days of the day you gave us notice of your cancellation. In such a case, we will refund the Price of the Product in full, including the cost of the delivery of the Product. However, you will be responsible for the cost of returning the Product to us or us collecting it from you.

If you do cancel a contract and are entitled to a refund, we will usually refund any money received from you using the same method originally used by you to pay for your purchase.

Products cannot be returned to us because they are unsuitable after the seven-day cooling off period referred to above unless we agree. If we agree that a Product may be returned, it must be returned in perfect condition and in the original packaging.

If you believe that any of our Products are not fit for purpose, are faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied, please immediately contact one of the members of our team on 0208 744 2351. Please also send us photographs of any alleged defects to sales@tlai.co.uk in order that we may assess the situation. We will require you to return the item, as it may be necessary to return it to the manufacturer. You must check all items and parts of items for damage prior to assembly.

Include your customer order details with the package, as we cannot process the returned goods without these. Should you not have your order details please ensure we have your full name and address. Refunds will be issued in reasonable time (usually within 7 days) after satisfactory receipt of the returned goods.

Any returned products which have been purchased on-line must be returned by a courier, products cannot be returned to our showroom by the customer directly.

We recommend any electrical wiring is carried out by a qualified electrician. All wiring must comply with the current edition of the IEE wiring regulations and relevant Building Regulations. We may ask for proof of electrical work being carried out by a qualified electrician.

(10) Limitations and exclusions of liability
Nothing in the terms of sale will: (a) limit or exclude the liability of a party for death or personal injury resulting from negligence; (b) limit or exclude the liability of a party for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation by that party; (c) limit or exclude any liability of a party under Section 12, 13, 14 or 15 of the Sale of Goods Act 1979 or Part I of the Consumer Protection Act 1987; (d) limit any liability of a party in any way that is not permitted under applicable law; or (e) exclude any liability of a party that may not be excluded under applicable law. Any statutory rights which you have as a consumer, which cannot be excluded or limited, will not be affected by the terms of sale.

[The limitations and exclusions of liability set out in this Section [and elsewhere in the terms of sale]: (a) are subject to the preceding paragraph; and (b) govern all liabilities arising under the terms of sale or in relation to the subject matter of the terms of sale, including liabilities arising in contract, in tort (including negligence) and for breach of statutory duty.

We will not be liable to you in respect of any losses arising out of any event or series of events beyond our reasonable control.

(11) General terms
We may revise these terms of sale from time-to-time, but such revisions will not affect the terms of any contracts which we have entered into with you.

If any provision of these terms of sale is held invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect, and such invalid or unenforceable provisions or portion thereof will be deemed omitted.

No waiver of any provision of these terms of sale, whether by conduct or otherwise, in any one or more instances, will be deemed to be, or be construed as, a further or continuing waiver of that provision or any other provision of these terms of sale.

You may not assign, charge, sub-contract or otherwise transfer any of your rights or obligations arising under these terms of sale. Any attempt by you to do so will be null and void. We may assign, charge, sub-contract or otherwise transfer any of our rights or obligations arising under these terms of sale, at any time - providing such action does not serve to reduce the guarantees benefiting you under these terms of sale.

Each contract under these terms of sale is made for the benefit of the parties to it and is not intended to benefit, or be enforceable by, any other person. The right of the parties to terminate, rescind, or agree any amendment, variation, waiver or settlement under such contracts is not subject to the consent of any person who is not a party to the relevant contract.

Subject to the first paragraph of Section NETQUOTEVAR:12: these terms of sale contain the entire agreement and understanding of the parties in relation to the purchase of products from our website, and supersede all previous agreements and understandings between the parties in relation to the purchase of products from our webs

These terms of sale will be governed by and construed in accordance with English law, and the courts of England and Wales will have [non-]exclusive jurisdiction to adjudicate any dispute arising under or in relation to these terms of sale.

Applicable laws require that some of the information or communication we send you should be in writing. When using our Website, you accept that communication with us will be mainly electronic. We will contact you by e-mail or provide you with information by posting notices on our website. For contractual purposes, you agree to this electronic means of communication and you acknowledge that all contracts notices, information and other communications that we provide to you electronically comply with any legal requirement that such communications be in writing. This condition does not affect your statutory rights.

All rights reserved. You are permitted to use the Website material only as expressly authorised by us or our licensors. You acknowledge and agree that the material and content contained within the Website in made available for your personal for your personal non-commercial use only and that you may (if necessary to make a purchase) download such material and content onto only one computer hard drive for such purpose. Any other use of the material and content of the Website is strictly prohibited. You agree not to (and agree not to assist or facilitate any third party to) copy, reproduce, transmit, publish, display, distribute, commercially exploit or create derivative works of such material and content.

The copying, modification, distribution, reproduction, or incorporation into any other work of part or all of the material available on the Website in any form is prohibited save that you may: copy, print (one copy) or download extracts of the material on the Website for the sole purpose of using the Website in good faith for domestic purposes or placing an order with us, and copy print (one copy only) or download the material on the Website for the purpose of sending to individual third parties for their personal information provided that you do not seek no commercial advantage or benefit from so doing and you acknowledge us as the source of the material and that you inform the third party that these conditions apply to them and that they must comply with them.

The personal information that Taylor'd Lighting & Interiors collects from you is used to operate our business and improve our service to customers.

We use your data to fulfil your orders and to provide you with information about our products and services.

Names and Addresses

We will never pass your personal details on to any other companies. We will email you the order and delivery confirmation along with any sale or general updates. We will only call you if there is a query with your order.

Email Addresses

By supplying us with your email address you are allowing us to keep in touch when you place an order (order confirmation), when we have dispatched your order to you or to deal with any possible queries you may have with your order.

We will also use it to alert you to special promotions such as web only sales.

If you do not wish to receive these marketing emails please email your customer number to sales@tlai.co.uk or call 0208 744 2351 and we will make sure we don't email you about these things.


Mobile Numbers and Landlines

We require a telephone number when an order is placed, This is to allow us to contact you when delivering an order or dealing with any queries you may have. If you supply us with a mobile number some of our couriers will alert you by text when your goods are ready to be despatched and let you arrange delivery by text.

We never cold call or pass on emails or telephone numbers

Delivery Schedule Our dispatch timelines are purely estimates. In many instances we carry stock or we may be able to source the product you require within a quicker timescale. Please contact us if you need your goods in a hurry and we will do everything we can to help you.

We will use reasonable endeavours to deliver products on or before the date for delivery set out in our Dispatch Confirmation or, if no date is set out in our order confirmation, within a reasonable time of the Dispatch Confirmation, unless there are circumstances beyond our control which prevent us from doing so. In the event of the products being held up we shall contact you to let you know if we are having problems getting an item to you by the specified delivery date. No compensation will be offered for late deliveries in any event. We do however guarantee that unless there are exceptional circumstances all deliveries of products will be dispatched within 30 days of the later of receipt of payment and the date of our order confirmation, unless otherwise stated in the Dispatch Confirmation.

It is your responsibility to check carefully that the Products you have ordered will fit into your home. You should check the dimensions of the space within which the Product will be placed and allow for the fact that the dimensions specified on the Website are approximate only and may vary by 2cm either way. You should also measure any doorways, corridors or staircases the Product will have to pass through, including space for manoeuvring and turning.

An adult must be available at the delivery address to carefully check the Products and sign and acknowledge their receipt in a safe and satisfactory condition. Any defect must be reported immediately to a member of our team on 0208 744 2351 or in writing to sales@tlai.co.uk. Please also be advised that deliveries will only be made to your door.

Changes to the delivery address made by the purchaser after the goods have been handed to the delivery company will incur an additional charge of £20.00

Delivery dates are approximate and no liability whatsover is accepted in respect of late deliveries. Do not arrange for an electrician/tradesman to install the items until after they have been delivered and checked for discrepencies and to make sure they are undamaged. We will not be held responsible for any charges from electricians or tradesman if goods arrive later than expected ot if goods arrive damaged.

Our couriers deliver nationally 6 days a week, Monday to Saturday, 8am to 6pm. Please note that Saturday deliveries may be incur an additional charge. Saturday deliveries may also be limited to certain areas
Returns Policy
"Cooling off" period
Under the Distance Selling Regulations, you may cancel a distance contract to purchase a product or products from us at any time within 7 working days after the day you received the relevant products or products (subject to the limitations set out below).

In order to cancel a contract in this way, you must give to us written notice of cancellation. You must inform us in writing, by post, to Taylor'd Lighting & Interiors, 141 - 143 St Margarets Road, Twickenham, TW1 1RG or by email to sales@tlai.co.uk

If you cancel a contract on this basis, you must promptly return the products to us, in the same condition in which you received them, in a new and unused condition and in the original packaging. You have a legal obligation to take reasonable care of the Products while they are in your possession.

Taylor'd Lighting & Interiors retains the right to refuse a refund on any item not deemed resalable due to being used or damaged by return.

If you cancel a contract on this basis, you will be refunded in full (including the cost of sending the products to you). However, you will be responsible for paying the cost of returning the product to us. Refunds will be issued in reasonable time (usually within 7 days) after satisfactory receipt of the returned goods.

If you cancel a contract on this basis and you do not return the products to us, we may recover the products and charge you for the costs we incur in doing so. Similarly, if you return the products at our expense, we may pass that expense on to you.

Returns cannot be accepted once the assembly process has begun.

You must include your customer order details with the package, as we cannot process a refund without these. Should you not have your order details please ensure we have your full name and address.

Items returned must arrive in perfect condition, where possible including the packaging, so please ensure that they are packed well. Shipping fees remain the customer's responsibility. We would recommend that for larger items that you purchase insurance with the carrier for the value of the merchandise. This is necessary to protect you should they lose or damage the goods. The present right of return only applies to products that are returned in their original, complete working condition (packaging, accessories, instructions, etc). Any product that has been damaged, is not in its original packaging, has packaging that has been worn beyond simply opening the product, will not be refunded.
